CyberECG use in Hospital Intensive Care Department

The term critical care unit (CCU) is a general term that applies to several areas of the hospital, including the operating room (OR), post anesthesia care unit (PACU) or recovery room, and intensive care unit (ICU). They could use more intensively the following ECG methods : Holter- and event-recordings, the in-hospital long-term bedside monitors, and the telemetry systems. The indications using these methods are:

  • Suspected rhythm ,
  • Arrhythmia risk assessment,
  • Efficacy of antiarrhythmic therapy (supraventricular and ventricular rhythm disturbancies),
  • Myocardial ischemia monitoring.
